The film is a documentation of emotions and a visualization of a text that describes typical feelings of PTSD, such as the alienation of the body and the separation from reality, it describes the state of dissociation, especially after experiencing physical and psychological violence.
The film goes through different phases and levels of emotions, from repression and disassociation, to realization, reflection, and confrontation with pain, to re-experiencing oneself.

The few objects we used in the film are to be interpreted as metaphors: the telephone stands for the subconscious trying to be heard; the radio stands for the outside world that seems to be completely cut off from the person; the shirt with the stains stands for the lasting damage that a traumatic experience can cause, which may eventually fade but never completely disappears.
We also thought carefully about the choice of the title font: "Made of Scars" was designed by McCann Panama City Agency and created from scars caused by violence against women.
